The Covid-19 situation is still evolving. No matter the change, our first priority will always be the health and well being of our customers, staff, and partners. We are monitoring and adapting all health and safety recommendations as currently expressed by Federal, State, and Local authorities. We will be updating our procedures and policies as required for the health of our communities.
As always, our master bed makers, warehouse, and support teams are still on the payroll, ready to provide safe, reliable service.
We've been making beds and mattresses in New York since 1855.
Over that long history, we've been through good times and bad.
And have learned again and again, working together, the American spirit will always prevail.
These days a good nights' sleep is more important than ever and we're here to give you exactly that.
The earliest descriptions of platform bed frames come from historical texts and indicate they were simply a place to sleep above the ground. The platform bed has since evolved to become the most important component in the contemporary bedroom. We are proud to offer a superb collection of sophisticated and original platform bed designs in wood, metal and upholstery.
Our wood platform beds are hand-crafted of solid American Cherry or plantation grown Mahogany. Components are fashioned from oversized lumber stock which we cut and dry in our own kilns. Proper joinery enables the natural movement of wood with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity. Our steel platform bed frames are made with the same skill and craftsmanship as our more traditional iron and brass beds, including our exclusive multi-step, hand-painted finish. Upholstered designs use high quality frames, distinctive fabrics and supple top grain leathers.
When Charles P. Rogers founded our company in 1855, he could scarcely have imagined that his legacy would be as enduring as the beds he made. Today we celebrate over 150 years of business with an ever-expanding selection of models and styles, including classics from our early days, and contemporary designs from the entire 20th century. We now also offer premium bed linens that will complement any of the beds in our collection.
The items you see on our web site are different from those on other sites and in catalogs or stores. Each is an original, exclusive design, made in our own factories and available for you, our customer, to purchase directly from us, the manufacturer. Do not be fooled by inferior imitations. We use authentic materials and processes in their construction and pay particular attention to proportion and detail in order to retain the integrity of classic designs while accommodating contemporary bedding sizes.
All of our products are made to the same high standards and offer quality and value that becomes ever more apparent over a lifetime of ownership. Our range of prices is representative of differences in materials and complexity of assembly, but, because of our factory-direct business model, all bed prices represent substantial discounts over what you would pay for similar quality in traditional retail chains or specialty stores.
By necessity we have remained a small company as our products cannot be mass-produced. The advantage for you is that our staff understands and cares how our products are made and they know the best way to get them to your home efficiently and economically. We are also dedicated to resolving any issues that may arise during your purchase and ownership and welcome the opportunity to add you to our growing list of delighted customers.
Since our inception, we have manufactured and sold our products directly to the public from our Manhattan factory showroom, stores in PA and NJ or by mail or phone in our catalog. Our new facyory/warehouse in Florida is also open to the public. Right now, a large selection of our most popular styles are in stock and available at substantial savings from made-to-order prices. Simply order online, by telephone or by visiting one of our factory showrooms. We look forward to assisting you in any way possible.
