* Foundations are slightly smaller overall than the mattress by design. This allows the foundation to fit in a bed frame and prevents you from feeling the foundation when on the edge of your mattress.
Delivery
All our mattresses are hand made by us and shipped from our factory. If your mattress is not in stock, production will be expedited and typically takes less than 2 weeks to be ready to ship. When you add your mattress to the shopping cart the availability is listed with the item. The time it takes to reach your home is anywhere from one day to a few weeks depending on your location and level of delivery service selected. Most deliveries take one to two weeks. Do I need a foundation?

Foundation: You will need a foundation if you are using your mattress with a bed frame or decorative headboard and footboard. If you have an platform bed or adjustable base, you do not need a foundation.

Bed Frame: A bed frame is a setup that has a headboard, footboard, and rails, or just a headboard and rails. The choice to use a bed frame is mostly one of aesthetic - as most are metal beds. If you have a bed frame already, or are planning on purchasing a Rogers Iron or Brass bed, you will need a foundation.

Platform Bed: Platform beds are generally made from wood or upholstery, and have a solid deck or platform that the mattress sits on. A platform therefore eliminates the need for a foundation.

What size is right?

Our mattresses come in the six standard sizes- Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King. The most popular sizes are Queen and King, with the King being 16 inches wider than a Queen.

Contrary to common thought, a California King is 4 inches narrower than a regular King, but also 4 inches longer. It is best for those above average in height.

Where can I try Charles P. Rogers mattresses?
Since 1855 our mattresses been available direct from our factory showroom in New York City. In the 1990's our first website generated such demand for our mattresses nationally that we began to sell and ship nationally and worldwide. We have 3 showrooms (in NY, NJ and PA) where you can try our mattresses before you buy. Our in-home comfort trial allows you to try your new mattress for 100 nights. If you're not comfortable we take it personally and will do everything we can to make it right.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your mattress and will do everything we can to make it right. We are not a marketing company, we are bed makers and take your comfort seriously. Our 100 night in-home comfort trial you may exchange it for a different model or return it for a refund. Returned mattresses are broken down in order to recycle the materials used to make it and are never resold.

What are your factory direct savings?
We design and build the beds we make and only sell direct from our showrooms and website. This eliminates middleman markups and allows us to sell for less. All products on our website are currently in production, creating even greater efficiencies in manufacturing costs therefore allowing us to offer substantial savings from our regular made-to-order prices.
What is different about a hand made mattress?
Our mattresses are hand sewn from soft, thick, oversized natural materials and properly tailored for the correct feel and maximum comfort. Some variations in stitching and finished dimensions are completely normal for a hand sewn product. Should materials shift or wrinkle during shipping they can easily be smoothed by hand. Slight variations confirm the handmade care and quality we put into our mattresses and in no way affect comfort or should be considered defects.
