The Covid-19 situation is still evolving. No matter the change, our first priority will always be the health and well being of our customers, staff, and partners. We are monitoring and adapting all health and safety recommendations as currently expressed by Federal, State, and Local authorities. We will be updating our procedures and policies as required for the health of our communities.

As always, our master bed makers, warehouse, and support teams are still on the payroll, ready to provide safe, reliable service.

We've been making beds and mattresses in New York since 1855.
Over that long history, we've been through good times and bad.
And have learned again and again, working together, the American spirit will always prevail.

These days a good nights' sleep is more important than ever and we're here to give you exactly that.

- The Charles P. Rogers Team

Day Bed Trundle Collection - America's Manufacturer | Charles P. Rogers® Est. 1855

Are you looking for a unique handcrafted day bed with trundle? Need a daybed or trundle bed mattress? You'll find a wide selection at Charles P. Rogers. Founded in 1855, Charles P. Rogers manufactures original iron, brass and wood headboards, day beds, trundle beds, canopy beds and bedding.

Our daybeds are still made by hand much as they were over a century ago. Our styles are tried and true classics, appropriately proportioned in all dimensions and accurate to the original design, yet sized to fit modern mattresses for your comfort and convenience. Decorative elements are cast or forged using original patterns from our archives.

To complement our beds, we offer linens that are custom made to our designs by the oldest European and American mills. These linens are designed to look good and last for a long time. Our linen selection includes duvet covers, skirts, and dust ruffles as well as a special collection of linens and complete bedding sets for daybeds and trundle beds.

Since our inception, we have manufactured and sold our products directly to the public from our New York City, Hackensack, and King of Prussia factory showrooms, by mail and by phone. Our factory in Florida is also now open to the public and products can be ordered directly from this website. Daybeds & Trundle Beds

Handcrafted Daybeds & Trundle Beds

The ultimate solution for stylish extra sleeping space, our daybeds and trundle beds are appropriate for use in any room. A daybed makes a great alternative seating in an office or spare room plus gives you the optional additional sleeping capability. Made with the same quality and craftsmanship of our beds, we offer both traditional and contemporary styles with an added dimension of versatility. Our daybeds use an upholstered platform to support the mattress and provide superior comfort and ease, eliminating the need for a box spring. This allows an optional pop-up trundle unit to store a second mattress underneath the daybed or trundle bed. When needed, the trundle pulls out and pops up for use as a second bed. Our trundle beds have a traditional headboard and footboard, while our daybeds have ends of equal height. All of our daybeds and trundle beds are sophisticated, highly detailed and finished to provide years of enjoyment and service. Our designer daybeds are the ultimate in space efficiency without the sacrifice of style.

Iron Daybeds
Our Iron Daybeds are made one at a time with our traditional methods. They are hand forged like our regular beds and the decorative elements are cast directly onto the framework for refinement and strength. Iron daybed and trundle bed finishes are hand applied in multiple layers giving them an elegant luminosity and authenticity.

Solid Wood Daybeds
Our Wood Daybeds are handcrafted from solid Mahogany. Our craftsmen carefully select the wood and use sharp tools to execute daybed details. Each bed is hand fitted and assembled. Matching veneers are carefully selected and matched to the design. Wood daybed finishes are hand applied to accentuate the natural grain and depth of the wood.

Brass Daybeds
Our distinctive and beautifully rendered brass daybed is available in solid brass or solid brass with stainless steel. Brackets are cast using our original patterns unique to this daybed. Brass daybeds are finished using a conversion process which requires minimal care yet will develop a beautiful patina over time.

Upholstered Daybeds
Our twin platform beds and wall mount Poole headboard together make a perfect daybed. By day it is comfortable for seating and at night, a proper, supportive bed for sleeping.

Pop up Trundle Units for Daybeds
Our optional pop-up units store an additional mattress under our daybeds or trundle beds. The unit pulls out and pops up, securely locking in the raised position for use as an extra bed when needed. Rugged solid steel construction provide durability and comfortable support. Also available in a package with our classic Chelsea daybed mattresses.

Daybed Mattresses
Our exclusive, extra firm daybed mattresses are specially designed for use with daybeds, trundle beds and pop-up trundles. Layers of padding for extra comfort overlay a steel innerspring with a heavy duty wire border. Classic white on white damask quilted cover. Quality and value makes this your perfect daybed or trundle bed mattress solution. Available in 33” daybed or 39” twin sizes. A quilted premium knit fabric cover makes this mattress comfortable and attractive.

Daybed Linens and Skirts
Our Prima cotton sheet sets and tailored linen daybed skirt are available in both 33x75" and 39x75" daybed sizes. Our Prima sheets have hemstitched detailing on the top sheet and pillowcases and are pure Supima Cotton. Simply the finest 400 thread count sheets available.
